Be careful and be watchful. There will be some people who come into your life and appear to be on fire of Me but they only objective is to cause chaos. Beware of any NATAS’ you may have in your life. All that seems good isn’t good.

Natas’ are all that appear to be good but aren’t their motives are to steal, kill, and destroy. And who has this primary objective in the world today. Look at NATAS what does it spell backwards. SATAN.

Mafia Wars, Is it a game Christians should play?

I recently attended a young adult service called “The Encounter,” and one of the speakers said something that will forever stay with me. He said “Give God Glory through what you say, think, and do.”
Now I ask, as believers in Christ is playing Mafia Wars giving God glory?
For those who don’t know, Mafia Wars is a game played by many facebook users, I am one of them. What I noticed on my friend list the majority are Christians or claim to be Christian and the majority of that group plays Mafia Wars as well.
Now in this game you are either in a Mafia or run a Mafia. What you do is try to make money and some ways to make money to put it briefly, robbing people or killing people. What I got out of just recently playing the game was you have to lie, cheat, steal, or even kill to get what they want.

What does it mean to give glory? To voluntarily present praise, honor, or worship
Let’s look at Daniel, a great example of giving God glory. Daniel 1:3-21

Daniel was taken captive to Babylon, (with others) and king Nebuchadnezzar required him to eat meat and drank wine for 3 years. Daniel vowed to not defile his body with the king’s food or drink. He then said to the eunuchs to give them vegetables to eat and water to drink, to show that they will be in a sense “healthy.” After the 10 days, it was proved that Daniel & friends’ appearance was better than that of the all the youth.

Daniel gave God glory no matter what and for that God showed him favor with the eunuchs and the king. We should be more like Daniel, and stand for Christ and represent him well no matter what it is we are doing. We are to be representative of Christ, understanding we will NEVER blend in with the world and the things of it. And we should not want to.
2^nd Corinthians 5:20

Now then, we are AMBASSADORS for Christ as though God were pleading through us; we implore you on Christ’s behalf to be reconciled to God. (NJKV)

Ambassadors are representatives therefore we rep’ Christ. Anything that shows characteristics or actions opposite of Jesus is NOT a representation of Christ. As for us who claim to be ambassadors for Christ. We are misrepresenting Him when we engage in activities or games such as Mafia Wars.
Though, I have to admit I seemed to enjoy this game. I like the idea of “runnin’ thangs,” and making money.
This desire for money and power just in playing a game and the things you have to do in the game to get it can open the door for the spirit of greed to come in which can then cause you to operate under the power of satan and not Jesus.

Let’s Rep Christ and rep Him right! Amen?
We are not meant to be like everyone else. Let’s embrace that and “Give God Glory through what we say, think and do”

Question of the hour … Will you get out the Mafia to properly represent Jesus? I am officially closing up shop and getting out the game. I love JESUS more. Do you?
